EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Personnel Services Department (PSD) has been using Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), which is a partner with Assure Claims MESA (formerly known as RiskMaster) in the amount of $29, 914 for the management and processing of the City's risk claims for several years. This software is essential to City operations in that it is used for risk management and end-to-end claims management. It assists PSD in mitigating claims as well as improving efficiencies and reducing costs. CSC also partners with Assure Insights a reporting component that works with Assure Claims MESA in pulling reports on the claims in the amount of $6,666.67, Assure Insights also handles consulting and training of staff, the estimated cost for this service is not to exceed $15.030. BACKGROUND The City has used Assure Claims MESA (RiskMaster) software on-premises solution continually since 2001. It was initially purchased via a Request for Proposal (Bid File 2151) and it has been renewed in subsequent years. RiskMaster is used for risk management and end-to-end claims management. It assists PSD in mitigating claims as well as improving efficiencies and reducing costs. It has been an essential part of PSD's functions. The City will also need to upgrade the current reporting component to RiskMaster, called BI (Business Intelligence) as it will no longer be supported starting of August of 2025. The new reporting system is Assured Insights Reporting and this upgrade will work seamless with the current environment. Assurance Claims MESA (RiskMaster) will work directly with our ISD technicians to upgrade to Assured Insights Reporting and they will provide all training necessary to use the new system to Risk staff. ENVIRONMENTAL FINDINGS The approval of this agreement is not a project for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act. LOCAL PREFERENCE Local preference is not applicable as this is a change to an existing agreement. FISCAL IMPACT There is funding in PSD's FY25 budget for this item.
