OLIVIER, Council President City Council Offices SUBJECT ..Title Approve Proposition 64 Best Practices Consulting ..Body RECOMMENDATION [N/A] EXECUTIVE SUMMARY In an effort to best provide for the health and safety of residents, authorize up to $100,000 for the administration to conduct an RFQ and engage a professional consultant to advise the city on state regulations in relation to cannabis issues, regulation, and enforcement concerning cultivation, medicinal and recreational use, medicinal and recreational dispensaries, and transportation of cannabis product in the City of Fresno. Also, to evaluate best practices and policies enacted by other cities in relation to the above stated concerns, provide a thorough analysis of state law, and to provide an analysis of potential tax revenue generation.
