The Housing Element is a state-mandated planning document for housing. Following receipt of comments from the California Department of Housing and Community Development, the City prepared a draft amendment to the adopted Housing Element in December of 2016. The draft amendment was discussed at 3 public workshops in December and made available to the public for a 30-day comment period from December 13, 2016 to January 13, 2017. The purpose of the workshop is to review the public comments received, staff's responses to the comments, and further revisions made to the Housing Element Amendment.
