REPORT TO THE CITY OF FRESNO YOUTH COMMISSION August 2, 2019 FROM: Jose Espinoza Youth Leadership Institute SUBJECT ..Title Discussion and actions pertaining to the Civic Learning Partnership's civic engagement award ..Body RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the Youth Commission draft and approve a resolution encouraging the City Council to pass a resolution committing to the recognition of youth organizations at the city level. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Civic Learning Partnership wants a potential award to be created at the city level to be given to youth organizations that are doing a great job in engaging youth civically. In order for the award to be created, the Youth Commission's resolution would encourage a commitment from the City Council to hold a space to provide the awards.
