The program was designed to honor the employee who exemplifies the principles found in the HROD program summarized by the acronym PRIDE: Professionalism, Responsiveness, Innovation, Direction, and Excellence. Each quarter, departments select the employee(s) who provide outstanding public service to the people of the City of Fresno and who sets the standard of excellence in performance.
