REPORT TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION September 26, 2022 FROM: JENNIFER CLARK, Director Planning and Development Department SUBJECT ..Title UPDATE from Architectural Subcommittee regarding the remodel and/or ADA improvements (Application B22-04282) to the US Post Office/Fresno Unified School District located at 2309 Tulare St.(HP#50) ..Body BACKGROUND The application for construction of new accessible ramps at the east entry to the Fresno Unified School District building located at 2309 Tulare Street is currently in Historical Review. The proposed ramps will allow access to the department reception areas. Additional internal remodel includes changes to the first and second floors, such as converting the mail area into a new department office and reception area on the first floor and revisions to the board room, hallway, and lobby upstairs. Included is the replacement of the floor finishes, ceilings and replacement of the board roam dais and platform installation of new audio/visual system. On August 15, 2022, the applicant was notified that while the interior renovations have been approved with conditions, the exterior needed review from the Historic Preservation Commission. The Architectural Subcommittee met with the Applicant on August 30, 2022 to discuss the proposed application.
