Approve the appointment of Ward Scheitrum to the Consolidated Mosquito Abatement District to a term ending December 31, 2028. Approve the appointments of Marisol Baca and Danielle Shapazian to the Poet Laureate Selection Committee to terms ending December 31, 2026. Approve the reappointments of Megan Bohigian, Honora Chapman, Bryan Harley, Heather Kuyper-McKeithen, and Jessica Giffen to the Poet Laureate Selection Committee to terms ending December 31, 2028. ..Body RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends approval. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Active Transportation Advisory Committee consists of nine members. Two are appointed by the Mayor and each Council member provides one appointment from a resident within their district. One Mayoral vacancy currently exists. The Mayor's Office is providing the appointment of Mohammad Shaikh, MD (Resident of District 6) to a term ending December 12, 2027, for consideration. The Consolidated Mosquito Abatement District consists of 11 members. One is appointed by the Mayor and must reside within the Consolidated Mosquito Abatement District. The Mayor's Office is providing the reappointment of Ward Scheitrum (Resident of District 7) to a term ending December 31, 2028, for consideration. The Poet Laureate Selection Committee consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor. Qualifications of the members include having expertise in literary arts, education or media, and be a current resident or work in the city of Fresno. The selection committee works in partnership with the Fresno Arts Council to recommend the City of Fresno's Honorary Poet Laureate every two years. The Mayor is providing the appointments of Marisol Baca (Literary Arts and Education, and Works in District 7) and Danielle Shapazian (Literary Arts and Work/Volunteers in District 3) for consideration. In addition, the Mayor is providing the following reappointments of Megan Bohigian (Resident of District 3), Honora Chapman (Resident of District 1), Bryan Harley (Resident of District 2), Heather Kuyper-McKeithen (Works in District 3), and Jessican Giffen (Resident of District 1) for consideration. All terms ending December 31, 2028.
