REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: SUMEET MALHI, Director Personnel Services Department BRYON HORN, Chief Information Officer Information Services Department SUBJECT ..Title Approve a one year agreement with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) for the renewal of Assure Claims, MEASA (formerly known as RiskMaster) in the amount of $27,698 for licensing and support services. ..Body RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the City Council Approve a one-year agreement with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) for the renewal of Assure Claims, MEASA (also known as RiskMaster) in the amount of $27,698 for claims software support services. RiskMaster is the City's risk management software used to manage, store, and process the City's property and liability claims. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Personnel Services Department (PSD) has been using RiskMaster software for the management and processing of the City's risk claims for several years. This software is essential to City operations in that it is used for risk management and end-to-end claims management for the City's property and liability claims. BACKGROUND The City has used Assurance Claims MESA (RiskMaster) software on-premise solution continually since 2001. It was initially purchased via a Request for Proposal (Bid Fild 2151) and it has been renewed in subsequent years. RiskMaster is used for risk management and end-to-end claims management. This agreement will allow for support services for the RiskMaster software which includes system enhancement along with the ability to put in support tickets in the event that there is an error with the system. It assists PSD in mitigating claims as well as improving efficiencies and reducing costs. It has been an essential part of PSD's functions. ENVIRONMENTAL FINDINGS The approval of this agreement is not a project for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act. LOCAL PREFERENCE Local preference is not applicable as this is a change to an existing agreement. FISCAL IMPACT There is funding in PSD's FY24 budget for this item.
