REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL March 17, 2016 FROM: YVONNE SPENCE, City Clerk Office of the City Clerk SUBJECT ..Title Approve RESOLUTION - Providing for Publication of Fresno Municipal Code Amendments ..Body RECOMMENDATION Recommend Council approval so that the paper municipal code is updated quarterly each year instead of twice a year, and updated monthly electronically. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Currently the municipal code is codified twice a year. Having the paper municipal code codified quarter will provide a more frequently updated paper copy while providing a monthly update of the electronic version which will make finding current information easier and faster while keeping cost down. BACKGROUND Codifying the code twice a year was started years ago in order to keep the cost of printing down for code updates. Now it is more important to have the most accurate information codified in the electronic version so it is easy to locate current information easier and faster.
