TUGGLE, Deputy Fire Chief Training and Special Operations Division ..Title WORKSHOP - Fresno Fire Department (FFD): 2016 FFD Training Division Resource and SART Report Implementation ..Body In December 2015, the City Council approved the recommendation from the Mayor and City Manager's office to increase the budget of the Fire Department's Training and Operations Divisions by $1.5 million dollars in an effort to improve the safety, training, and oversight of Fresno firefighters while implementing the recommendations of the SART report, resulting from the near-miss accident on March 29, 2015, known as the Cortland Incident. This workshop is intended to bring the City Council up to speed with what the Department has done with those resources to implement change and carryout the recommendations identified in the report.
