REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: ANNALISA PEREA, Council President District 1 MIKE KARBASSI, Council Vice President District 2 SUBJECT ..Title RESOLUTION - Repealing and Replacing Resolutions 2004-6, 2004-185 and 2020-43, Establishing the Procedure for the Creation of Boards, Commissions, Committees, and Similar Bodies of the City of Fresno, and Establishing the Appointment Process ..Body RECOMMENDATION The Council President and Vice President recommend Council adopt a resolution repealing and replacing three resolutions governing formation of City boards, commissions, committees, and similar bodies. The resolution will streamline the documents referenced when creating a new body and standardize information provided to the City Clerk when bodies are created, allowing the Clerk to provide better assistance to the City's boards and commissions. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY BACKGROUND ENVIRONMENTAL FINDINGS Adoption of a resolution directing the formation of City bodies is not considered a project pursuant to Section 15378 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines.
