REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL July 26, 2018 FROM: YVONNE SPENCE, City Clerk Office of the City Clerk SUBJECT ..Title Approval of an amendment to the City Council Meeting Schedule for Calendar Year 2018 adding August 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. to the calendar ..Body RECOMMENDATION The recommendation is for the City Council to review and approve the amendment to the City Council Meeting Schedule for Calendar Year 2018. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The City Council Meeting Schedule for Calendar Year 2018 is being amended to add an additional Council meeting date to the current schedule. BACKGROUND The proponents for Fresno for Clean, Safe Neighborhood Parks submitted a petition to the City Clerk on Monday, July 9, 2018. An additional regular meeting is required in order to introduce and adopt initiative ordinance. The additional meeting is also needed for Council to request consolidation with the State Primary Election. ENVIRONMENTAL FINDINGS This item is not a CEQA project. LOCAL PREFERENCE NA FISCAL IMPACT Funding for this initiative to be on the ballot in November 2018 would come from the General Fund. The General Fund already has funds in it for the November election. Attachment: Amendment
