REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: BRYON HORN, Chief Information Officer Information Services Department SUBJECT ..Title Approve the annual renewal of hosting and support for Cornerstone Learning Content Management system in the amount of $133,776.40 ..Body RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends Council approve the annual renewal of the Cornerstone Learning Content Management system in the amount of $133,776.40. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The City of Fresno (City) is implementing an online hosted solution that will allow a wide variety of training and learning content for its employees to be taken online. It also includes advanced tools to help Personnel Services Department (Personnel) manage the training and the content in a more efficient manner. BACKGROUND For the past several years, the City has used its PeopleSoft HRMS system to facilitate training enrollment participation. Personnel has recognized a need to offer prepackaged as well as custom City training content for employees to view. The City began a project in 2021 to implement the Cornerstone Learning Content Management system. This system is a hosted solution and is designed to deliver online learning content and advanced tools to allow management and tracking of in-person and online employee training. This renewal enables us to enter into the next phase of the program improvement as staff have been preparing and customizing content in anticipation of the retirement of PeopleSoft and the implementation of Tyler Technologies. Cornerstone was procured under a cooperative purchasing agreement through the State of California Software Licensing Program - DGS SLP-19-70-0176B. The City is expected to begin using the Cornerstone Learning Management System in the 2nd quarter of 2022. ENVIRONMENTAL FINDINGS Not a project for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act. LOCAL PREFERENCE Local preference not implemented because this is a renewal of an existing agreement. FISCAL IMPACT The approved FY22 budget contains funding for this item in the PeopleSoft Replacement Fund 54003/510801. Attachments: Cooperative Purchasing Agreement Cornerstone Quote
