REPORT TO THE CITY OF FRESNO YOUTH COMMISSION September 6, 2019 FROM: Jose Espinoza Youth Leadership Institute SUBJECT ..Title Discussion and actions pertaining to the civic engagement award/resolution ..Body RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the Youth Commission draft and approve a resolution encouraging the City Council to pass a resolution committing to the recognition of youth organizations at the city level. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Civic Learning Partnership wants a potential award to be created at the city level to be given to youth organizations that are doing a great job in engaging youth civically. In order for the award to be created, the Youth Commission's resolution would encourage a commitment from the City Council to hold a space to provide the awards.
