- V.CONTINUED MATTERS – Continued Matters are items that have been previously reviewed but were not voted upon by the Committee. Further discussion respective to issues which necessitated the continuance from a previous agenda will likely be required prior to action by the Committee.
- A.Proposed Accessory Dwelling Unit
- Location: 205 E Pine Avenue Applicant: Paul Miller of the Vernal Group Applicant proposes to construct a ±600 square-foot Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) to an existing single-family residence located at the subject property. The proposed ADU will be oriented toward North Safford Avenue and will include hung windows, composition shingle roofing, and horizontal cement fiber board siding (a.k.a. Hardie board).
- B.Proposed Façade Remodel and New Detached Garage
- Location: 1564 & 1566 N Van Ness Avenue Applicant: Craig Johnson Applicant proposes to remodel the façade of the existing single-family residence located at the property noted above. The proposed remodel will provide an "art deco" appearance. In addition, the applicant proposes a detached garage. The garage will incorporate design elements and materials to match the remodeled primary residence. Important Note: The residence was recently damaged by fired.
- VI.NEW MATTERS – New Matters are items that will be reviewed by the Committee and which may be subject to a vote of the Committee. Applicants and/or their representatives are asked to be in attendance to discuss these projects.
- A.2022 Meeting Calendar
- Consideration of the Tower District Design Review Committee 2022 meeting calendar. Committee meetings are tentatively scheduled for the second and fourth (2nd & 4th) Tuesdays of the month at 5:00 PM.
- VII.COMMITTEE CONSULTATION AND UNSCHEDULED MATTERS- Committee Consultation Items and unscheduled matters are items that the general public can address to the Committee in order to request input on a proposed project with no formal recommendations, or to provide general information about projects and events in the Tower District. However, the Committee cannot take formal action on these items. (Unscheduled Items shall each be limited to five minutes.)

Members of the public may comment in person at the address above. To request an interpreter or accessibility accommodation, call (559) 621-7650 at least three business days before the meeting.

Submit a comment on a specific agenda item online through eComment. Email clerk@fresno.gov with the meeting date and item number by 9:00 a.m. the day before the meeting. Comments received are distributed to members and entered into the record.
Accommodations & language access
Under California SB 707, agendas and participation instructions are published in every applicable language for the meeting, and free interpretation is provided at the meeting on request. Applicable languages currently include Spanish, Hmong, and Punjabi. Real-time captions are available in English and Spanish during the meeting through Wordly, and American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation is provided live on the Zoom feed. Meeting disruption policy

Meetings are conducted so everyone — in the room and watching or calling in remotely — can take part. A person who disrupts a meeting in person may be removed after a warning. Under California SB 707, if a service disruption within the City’s control cuts off the public’s ability to participate remotely, the body takes no further action on agenda items and recesses for at least one hour while staff make a good-faith effort to restore access; the meeting resumes only once remote access is back.
