- There being no further business to discuss before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 9:20AM
- At 9:17AM, the Board reconvened into Open Session and the Board actions were announced in accordance with the Brown Act.
- Assistant Personnel Director, Marissa Gonzales informed the Board that the Administration is continuing their effort to recruit another Board Member. Chair McDonald welcomed the newest Board Member Magdaleno.
- Senior Deputy City Attorney I, Jennifer DeRuosi was present on behalf of the Appointing Authority. The Appellant was present and was represented by Vismaad Gondara, Attorney at Law. The Hearing was scheduled for April 18, 2022, April 19, 2022 and April 20, 2022 at 9:00AM. Aye: 4 - Chairperson McDonald, Vice Chair Tracy, Board Member Moreno and Board Member Magdaleno.
- Deputy City Attorney III, Mao Lee was present on behalf of the Appointing Authority. Attorney at Law, Vismaad Gondara was present on behalf of the Appellant. The Hearing was scheduled for March 22, 2022 and March 23, 2022 at 9:00AM. Aye: 4 - Chairperson McDonald, Vice Chair Tracy, Board Member Moreno and Board Member Magdaleno.
- Present on behalf of the City was Jim Betts, Attorney at Law. The Appellant was not present and did not have a representative present.

Meeting disruption policy

Meetings are conducted so everyone — in the room and watching or calling in remotely — can take part. A person who disrupts a meeting in person may be removed after a warning. Under California SB 707, if a service disruption within the City’s control cuts off the public’s ability to participate remotely, the body takes no further action on agenda items and recesses for at least one hour while staff make a good-faith effort to restore access; the meeting resumes only once remote access is back.
