- Also present were Board Counsel , Jim Sanchez, Deputy City Attorney III, Jennifer DeRuosi and Acting Secretary Designee, Yvonne Teixeira.
- At 9:02 AM the Board convened into Closed Session
- There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 9:30 AM.
- Meeting & participation information
  Deputy City Attorney II, Jennifer DeRuosi was present on behalf of the Appointing Authority. Neither the Appellant or Representative were present. The Board was presented with a Joint Stipulation and Order to Continue Hearing Dates. The Board unanimously approved the Joint Stipulation and tentatively scheduled the Hearing for March 8, 2021 or March 15, 2021, based on the Appellant's availability. At 9:27 AM the Board reconvened into Open Session and the decisions of the Board were announced in accordance with the Brown Act.
- Deputy City Attorney III, Jennifer DeRuosi was present on behalf of the Appointing Authority. Present on behalf of the Appellant were Attorneys at Law David Garcia and Vismaad Gondara. The Hearing on Appeal was scheduled for April 6 and 7, 2021.

Meeting disruption policy

Meetings are conducted so everyone — in the room and watching or calling in remotely — can take part. A person who disrupts a meeting in person may be removed after a warning. Under California SB 707, if a service disruption within the City’s control cuts off the public’s ability to participate remotely, the body takes no further action on agenda items and recesses for at least one hour while staff make a good-faith effort to restore access; the meeting resumes only once remote access is back.
