- Meeting & participation information
  Deputy City Attorney III, Stephanie Snyder, and Deputy Chief, Lydia Carrasco, were present on behalf of the Appointing Authority. Attorney at Law, Roger Wilson, and the Appellant were also present. Witnesses were sequestered and the reading of the Order was waived by the parties. Exhibits of evidence and the City's Bench Brief regarding SB1421 and Public Release of Internal Investigation Documents and Officer personnel records were presented during testimony and filed into the record. Upon agreement by both parties the continuation of the Hearing on Appeal was rescheduled for February 8, 2019 and cancelled for January 17, 2019. At 3:08pm, the Board reconvened into Open Session and the decisions of the Board were announced in accordance with the Brown Act.
- At 9:02am the Board convened into Closed Session.
- There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 3:08pm.

Meeting disruption policy

Meetings are conducted so everyone — in the room and watching or calling in remotely — can take part. A person who disrupts a meeting in person may be removed after a warning. Under California SB 707, if a service disruption within the City’s control cuts off the public’s ability to participate remotely, the body takes no further action on agenda items and recesses for at least one hour while staff make a good-faith effort to restore access; the meeting resumes only once remote access is back.
