- The meeting was called to order at 9:00am.
- There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 4:05pm
- None
- Board Council, Dan McCloskey was present and represented the Board. Acting Secretary Designees, Karnell Grijalva and Stephanie Martinez were also present.
- Meeting & participation information
  Appointing Authority Deputy Chief, Robert Nevarez, was present and represented by Attorneys at Law, Joseph Rubin, Paul Coleman and Deputy City Attorney, Jennifer DeRuosi. The Appellant was present and representative, Attorney at Law, Roger Wilson. Witnesses were sequestered and the reading of the Order was waived by the parties. Witness testimony was heard and breaks taken as needed. Exhibits of evidence were presented during testimony. The Hearing on Appeal will be continued on April 20, 2017.
- James Betts, Attorney at Law, was present on behalf of the Appointing Authority. Robert Fuentes, Attorney at Law was present on behalf of the Applellant.
- Jennifer DeRuosi, Deputy City Attorney, was present on behalf of the Appointing Authority. Neither the Appellant nor a representative was present.

Board action on unscheduled items, if any, shall be limited to referring the item to staff for a report and possible scheduling on a future Civil Service Board agenda.

Accommodations & language access
Under California SB 707, agendas and participation instructions are published in every applicable language for the meeting, and free interpretation is provided at the meeting on request. Applicable languages currently include Spanish, Hmong, and Punjabi. Meeting disruption policy

Meetings are conducted so everyone — in the room and watching or calling in remotely — can take part. A person who disrupts a meeting in person may be removed after a warning. Under California SB 707, if a service disruption within the City’s control cuts off the public’s ability to participate remotely, the body takes no further action on agenda items and recesses for at least one hour while staff make a good-faith effort to restore access; the meeting resumes only once remote access is back.
